Kristen Bell wins all the Mothers Day awards
YOU GO KRISTEN!
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again.
Tyler is not slut shaming Caroline. He’s mad because he thought that maybe Caroline would still respect their defunct relationship by not sleeping with the guy who turned him into a hybrid, took away his free will, killed his friends, and killed his mother. Oh, and sentenced him to a life of paranoia and only allowed him to “come back” because you know, maybe he was in a good mood that day. Seriously. Klaus was the chess master of Tyler’s life, playing with it because he had the power and he was mad for that whole unsiring hybrids business.
Caroline telling him to “get over it or get out of my life” is pretty fucked up when she comforted Tyler after Klaus killed his mom and Tyler blamed himself for it.
Like I’ve said, if this were Jesse or some random guy, I could see why Caroline would be pissed at Tyler when he had walked away that last time. Then we could all chant “you go girl!” and snap our fingers. Instead, I shake my head and say you reap what you sow, Caroline.
(Yes, I’m pissed at Tyler for biting Nadia in the heat of the moment as I loved her character but it wasn’t in a moment of “i’m gonna do this for shits and giggles”. She was attacking Caroline, he protected her. What a monster. I’m sure other characters would be applauded if they did that. Like I said, still sad that Nadia’s gone but Tyler meant to protect Caroline, not necessarily kill Nadia.)
Can we applaud Bonnie and Matt for being genuinely kind to Nadia despite her helping Katherine with the body swap scheme?
Bonnie reassured her that it wouldn’t hurt when she died - although Bonnie would feel her death - just so she could have peace of mind before her inevitable death.
When it was suggested that they just bury Nadia in the forest, Matt stood up for her. Matt, whom she had stolen from, compelled, and used (I believe that in some twisted way, she did care about him but her priority was Katherine), he still found it in his heart to say that Nadia deserved better. And she did because her whole life revolved around finding her mother, five hundred years of searching to find her mother.
